Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors this April as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years! Integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, this enhanced integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. Our advanced hospital will offer 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite 550-car parking garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking an experienced Financial Counselor Patient Access (Full Time). Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the in-depth and detailed evaluation of patient financial history for both uninsured and under-insured patients (inpatient and outpatient), for the purposes of determining eligibility for State and Federally funded financial assistance programs. Responsible for ensuring insurance authorization for patient services has been obtained/verified, establishes working relationship with all departments of CHRMC and contractors, conducts timely follow-up/monitoring of accounts to ensure time frames are maintained according to statute. Provide support to an organizational culture that lends the highest degree of service excellence standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Associate degree or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification
• 5 years of current experience in a hospital registration, Business office and/or Case Management as related to insurance
