Substitute Food Service Staff

Reports to: Food Service Director

Main duties include setting up for the breakfast line, running a register, preparing/presenting the food for the grill station, dishwashing, and general cleaning. Responsible for ensuring that food is presented in a manner that is nutritious, safe, properly flavored, and in compliance with District, USDA, and accrediting agency standards for quality. Proper recordkeeping and computer meal accounting will be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds such as books and teaching material.

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
