VFX Artist Intern

We are looking for an amazing Visual Effects Artist to create and implement high-quality real-time gameplay VFX for a stylized, realized. The role focuses on creating master material shader, VFX creations with Niaraga Particle system, with a strong emphasis on gameplay readability, timing, and performance. Responsibilities Assist the Art and Technical Art teams in creating and implementing real-time visual effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematic sequences Support the development of VFX assets using Unreal Engine’s Niagara system Help implement particle systems, materials, and shaders under the guidance of senior team members Assist in populating and integrating VFX assets into game levels based on provided concepts and feedback Learn and apply VFX optimization techniques to help maintain performance and visual qualityi> Collaborate with Art, Technical Art, Design, and Animation teams to implement VFX according to project requirements Participate in VFX iteration, testing, debugging, and documentation Continuously improve technical and artistic skills through mentorship, feedback, and project assignments Requirements Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine, preferably with experience using the Niagara VFX system Understanding of VFX fundamentals, including timing, readability, color, motion, and shape language Familiarity with particle systems, materials, and shaders is a plus Basic understanding of performance considerations for real-time visual effects Willingness to learn VFX implementation with gameplay systems and animation events Portfolio or personal projects demonstrating VFX work in Unreal Engine or other real-time engines (academic, personal, or game jam projects are welcome) Good communication and collaboration skills Strong willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continuously improve Able to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines under supervision Final-year student or recent graduate in Game Development, Computer Graphics, Animation, Digital Art, or a related field Willing to fully work from the Agate Office What You Get Paid internship fee.
