Maintaining and improving current 5S standards. Provide coverage and support to other areas outside of yourjurisdictionasrequired. Promote and enforce safety throughout the plant by building a culture of safety (See Safety Responsibilities below). Provides daily direction to the production team leaders and team members to ensure the manufacturing of quality products. Conducts daily meetings withthe productionteam to pass along relevant information about safety, quality, production, & other plant related communications. Ability to understand problems that arise from the productionarea;and must work withteamto develop & implement corrective action. Facilitates training & development of team members / Ensure all Team Members are being trained to standard work. Maintainstrainingmatrix of team members. Prepares relevant KPIs daily and posts toSQDCboard. Maintains team member attendance records. Approves employee time off requests and manages team member payroll. Follows guidelines in employee handbook for progressive discipline. Responsible for appraisal& disciplineof all team members withinthe team,as needed. Keeps a positive attitude and encourages positive employee relations. Safety Responsibilities Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with allKCCrules and regulations. Participateand/or leadtoolbox talks & monthly training. Take every reasonable precaution for the protection ofyourcoworkers. Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management. Assistinaccident investigations(as needed)toidentifythe root causein a timely manner. Complete accident and incident reports(nearmiss)in a timely manner. While performing the duties of this job, theTeam Memberwill be in a manufacturing environment where loud noises and hot or coldtemperaturesare possible.
