The Lab Courier is a member of the laboratory team who is responsible for laboratory specimen deliveries from Clinics, Nursing Homes, and Physician Offices to the laboratory with a fixed, pre-arranged time schedule. Specimen deliveries to Indianapolis throughout the week and weekend is expected. The Lab Courier's time is spent up to 95% operating a vehicle. The remaining time will be spent going into offices and the hospital, multiple times a day, and help fill orders for offices, and deliver them during the route. The Lab Courier position has a base hourly rate of $16.73. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. This PRN position will require you to work a shift of variable shifts and is not benefit eligible but offers a premium for hours worked, and the scheduled hours depend on the needs of the department.

What is required for this position:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable.
• Must have valid Indiana driver's license, and meet the hospital's liability insurance carrier requirements
