Remote Speech Therapy in MD

A contract position is open for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services, located in Laurel, MD. This full-time role aligns with eastern standard time zone hours and requires a commitment of 35 hours per week during the school year from late August to early June.


Candidates will provide speech-language pathology support primarily to students across elementary, middle, and peak year caseloads, ranging from a maximum of 40 elementary students to peak caseloads around 57. Assignments and caseload sizes will be tailored based on individual experience and comfort level, with supervisory discussions guiding placement.


Key responsibilities include delivering teletherapy to school-aged children, assessing and treating speech and language disorders, maintaining detailed documentation, and collaborating with educational staff remotely to support student development.


Qualifications:

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology license in good standing
• Minimum of three years post-COVID experience working in virtual school-based speech-language pathology roles
• Ability to effectively manage telepractice platforms and communicate with students and staff virtually
• Willingness to undergo a House Bill background check as required for credentialing
• Strong organizational and caseload management skills
