Human Resources Generalist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a 6–7-month contract opportunity with an established organization in Golden Hill, San Diego. This role is ideal for an HR professional with a strong background in employee relations, HR operations, and California employment practices. The successful candidate will partner with employees and management to address workplace concerns, support HR initiatives, and promote a positive and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, employee complaints, conflict resolution, and performance issues
• Conduct workplace investigations, gather information, document findings, and maintain confidential records
• Advise managers on employee performance, corrective actions, disciplinary procedures, and company policies
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, workplace expectations, and general HR matters
• Support onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
• Maintain accurate personnel files, investigation documentation, and HR records
• Assist with leave administration, accommodations, and compliance with applicable employment laws
• Collaborate with leadership to resolve employee concerns and improve HR processes

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an HR Generalist, Employee Relations Specialist, or similar HR professional
• Strong employee relations experience, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary documentation
• Working knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Assignment Details:

• 6-7 month contract role
• Onsite work schedule
• Full-time
• Located in Golden Hill, San Diego
• Compensation: $33.00-$40.00 per hour DOE
