Senior Accountant

The ideal Senior or Staff Accountant is a strong, reliable accounting operator who can own core balance sheet accounts, support month-end close, and help keep the business current after the cleanup work is completed. This person should be comfortable working in the details, reconciling accounts, researching variances, and helping maintain clean financial records across multiple locations and entities. This role is best suited for someone who is organized, disciplined, and comfortable working in a business where accounting intersects with retail stores, warehouse activity, customer deposits, vendor activity, and field service operations. Required Experience 3 to 7 years of accounting experience, ideally in retail, distribution, field service, or another operationally complex business Balance sheet reconciliation experience, including cash, credit cards, AR, AP, inventory, deposits, accruals, and clearing accounts Month-end close support experience Comfortable researching variances and documenting explanations Experience with multi-location accounting or entity-level reporting Basic understanding of inventory, warehouse activity, and COGS Ability to work with store managers, warehouse teams, service teams, and vendors to resolve accounting issues Strong attention to detail and follow-through Personality / Operating Style Reliable, organized, and deadline-oriented Comfortable working independently once trained Willing to ask good questions, but not overly dependent on constant direction Practical and detail-oriented Able to document work clearly Comfortable in a cleanup and stabilization environment Team-oriented, but able to own assigned accounts from start to finish Nice to Have Experience with intercompany activity or multi-entity accounting AccountingInventory or warehouse accounting exposure Experience with retail POS, service management, or ERP systems Prior experience supporting a Controller in a growing or recently acquired business #J-18808-Ljbffr
