CPI Data Center Project Manager, US-West CPI

Overview AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Our work addresses complex supply‑chain problems with thousands of variables, requiring creative and talented engineers. Responsibilities Act as a technical resource and Data‑Center Project Manager within Amazon data centers. Oversee, review, and coordinate all project disciplines—electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. Identify and implement improvements for electrical, mechanical, fire‑detection, and building‑automation systems. Direct, coordinate, implement, execute, control, and complete specific projects while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to operational challenges and work collaboratively within multi‑disciplinary teams. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production. Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems. Experience with power management and power monitoring systems. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of project management experience in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure. Knowledge of critical data‑center equipment and engineering documentation, including electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures. Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA. Experience in data‑center engineering operations with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.
