Business Process Architect

Day-to-Day Job Duties:
Lead the analysis, design, and documentation of end-to-end transportation and logistics business processes across diverse operating environments.
Define and standardize business lifecycles, including order management, shipment planning, execution, tracking, exception management, and delivery processes.
Develop common business process models, business objects, statuses, milestones, and exception frameworks to support enterprise-wide consistency.
Identify and document standard processes while evaluating business-specific and system-specific process variations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, data architects, and integration teams to translate operational requirements into scalable business solutions.
Support the development of canonical business concepts and requirements that enable effective TMS integration and data standardization.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops and working sessions to drive process alignment, requirements gathering, and design validation.
Provide process architecture guidance to transportation management system (TMS) modernization and transformation initiatives.
Ensure alignment between business objectives, operational requirements, and technology enablement strategies.
Track and communicate key process design decisions, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder feedback throughout project lifecycles.


Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related business process transformation roles.
5+ years of experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation operations.
Strong functional knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, including order-to-delivery, shipment planning, dispatch, execution, tracking, carrier management, and exception handling.
Proven experience in business process analysis, process modeling, requirements definition, and process standardization initiatives.
Experience collaborating with business, technology, and data teams to design scalable business solutions.
Strong understanding of enterprise business architectures, process frameworks, and operational workflows.
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and business documentation skills.

Up to 20%


Degree:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
Master's degree or MBA preferred.


Nice to Have (But Not a Must):
Experience with leading TMS platforms such as Blue Yonder, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), SAP TM, MercuryGate, Manhattan Associates, or equivalent solutions.
Experience supporting transportation transformation, TMS modernization, or enterprise integration programs.
Knowledge of canonical data models, enterprise integration patterns, and business architecture frameworks.
Experience working in complex multi-modal transportation and logistics environments.
Exposure to regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical logistics.
Certification in Business Analysis, Process Management, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
