Travel Physical Therapist (PT)

Position Summary Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - 26 week assignment in Seneca, South Carolina with Fusion Medical Staffing. Essential Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment need. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Previous experience in a physical therapy setting (New graduates are welcome). Other certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication in English. Proficiency in PC skills. Physical, Interpersonal, Technical, Mental, Sensory Requirements Physical: Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move around, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal: Work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move around during procedures and equipment use. Mental: Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration to detail.
