Sales Manager

AM Ford is looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead our sales team and help drive the continued growth of our new and used vehicle departments. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable managing daily floor operations, coaching and motivating a team, desking deals, and assisting with finance. Previous automotive sales management experience is required for this position. We’re looking for a strong leader who can drive performance, hold the team accountable, and help grow the department. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus commission and performance bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and career advancement opportunities Employee vehicle purchase discounts Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6-8 sales consultants Manage daily sales floor activity and drive accountability toward performance goals Desk deals, structure transactions for profitability, and assist with finance approvals Appraise trades and support sales consultants in presenting numbers and closing deals Work closely with the finance department to ensure smooth deal flow, clean paperwork, and strong product penetration Drive performance toward monthly new and used vehicle sales and gross profit goals Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including lead close rates, appointment set and show rates, PVR, and CSI Partner with BDC and Marketing to ensure effective lead follow-up and maximize showroom traffic Conduct daily sales meetings, weekly one-on-ones, and regular performance reviews Handle customer escalations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction Collaborate with service and parts to support vehicle delivery and reconditioning needs What We’re Looking For Previous automotive sales management experience is required Minimum of 2 years of automotive sales or sales management experience Strong experience desking deals, appraising trades, structuring finance options, and maximizing gross profit Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold a sales team accountable Strong understanding of the automotive sales process, F&I procedures, and dealership operations Experience with CRM systems and digital retailing tools Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities High integrity and a professional, customer-focused approach Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Top performers can earn well above the posted compensation range based on sales performance, desking results, and finance penetration.
