Sr. Accountant
An engineering client of Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Accountant to join their team. This individual will be responsible for the following daily or weekly tasks:
- Reviewing monthly internal financial statements and other accounting reports.
- Assisting management in year-end financial reports and audits.
- Working with governmental agencies regarding allowable costs and overhead rates.
- Analyzing project costs and monthly cost allocations.
- Working on projects that often involved merging information among accounting systems requiring advanced Excel skills.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries and accounting classifications.
- Performing monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
- Managing fixed assets including additions, disposals, monthly depreciation, and various reports using Sage fixed asset software.
- Preparing census reports and assisting with month end report generation.
- Assisting with various tax analysis and filing.
- Conforming with and abiding by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
