Registered Nurse - Complex Intervention Unit

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with holiday rotation and weekend requirements (every other weekend).

Job Description: The Complex Intervention Unit (CIU) is an 18-bed adult acute care unit focusing on patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions. The unit comprises a 6-bed med-surg side and a 12-bed behavioral health side, providing specialized care tailored to individual patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care for adults with both medical and behavioral health conditions.
• Monitor patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, utilizing the EPIC charting system.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is preferred.
