Java Developer (FO eTrading Technology)

Salary: $83,000 - 123,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong Java (JDK 11/17) and Spring expertise, with experience building low-latency, high-throughput trading systems
• Knowledge of fixed-income instruments, including IRS, CDS, bonds, US Treasuries, and futures
• Experience with REST APIs, JMS (ActiveMQ), and SQL databases such as MS SQL or Sybase
• Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous or event-driven programming
• Exposure to microservices and distributed systems, including technologies such as Kafka, Camel, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Strong communication skills and experience engaging with Front Office users, including traders, quants, risk, and compliance teams
• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or a related field
• Familiarity with pricing engines, RFQ workflows, and execution connectivity is an advantage
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Tradeweb, or ION integrations and the FIX protocol is an advantage
• Previous experience in fixed-income technology teams is an advantage

• Design, develop, and enhance Front Office pricing engines and eTrading systems
• Enhance legacy codebases and help modernise platforms through microservices transformations
• Develop and maintain system architectures, designs, and technical concepts
• Work directly with trading desks, quantitative analysts, and risk and compliance teams
• Improve code quality using static and dynamic analysis, CI/CD pipelines, and security vulnerability scans
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from analysis through production support
• Design, code, and optimise low-latency applications in collaboration with Front Office desks, quants, compliance, and IT teams
