Details Emergency Department unit-based leadership position Night shift schedule, 07:00 PM-07:00 AM EPIC experience required Requirements Active CA RN license required BLS certification required AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education/experience required Master's Degree preferred Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required Five years' technical experience preferred Minimum three years of specialty experience for ER required Recent experience within the last three months in the specialty required No prior negative licensure actions permitted Employment history must note EPIC or Cerner experience Two supervisor references required, one from the past year and one from the past two years Skills checklist for the specialty completed within the past year required Additional Information Provide unit-based leadership working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff Supervise and direct various levels of nursing and ancillary personnel Ensure patients receive cost-effective, professional care resulting in positive outcomes and high satisfaction Assess and improve quality of patient experience and safety Initiate and coordinate care conferences with health team members, patients, and families Direct and monitor personnel performance to ensure quality patient care Participate in patient care as needed Foster a patient and family-centered care environment with attention to cultural diversity Make rounds to assess patient care needs and introduce self to patients and families Solicit feedback on quality of nursing services and address concerns Develop strategies with Nurse Manager/Director to improve patient, family, and physician satisfaction Investigate and resolve patient care and operational issues Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates match travel rates American Traveler Job ID P-748748.
