Job Description
Title
Labor and Delivery Nurse

Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts (7p-7:30a or 7a-7:30p)
- Minimum of 4 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) and 2 Friday shifts in a 6-week block
- Requires one 12-hour on-call shift in each 6-week schedule

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly

Requirements
- Must have a valid license in the state
- Certifications: ACLS, NRP, BLS
- High-risk experience required
- Labor and Delivery experience

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
- Assist with various delivery methods including VBACs, Caesarians, and natural births.
- Float between postpartum and labor and delivery units as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation occurs weekly (every Monday barring a holiday).
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be presented at the time of submission.
- Parking is expensive, with costs up to $43 per day; public transportation is available.
- No local travelers will be accepted (cannot reside within 50 miles from the facility).
- Travelers who have worked for the healthcare facility as travel, permanent, or per diem within the last year will not be accepted.
