About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide organizational leadership and operational oversight in support of its mission. The COO will be responsible for strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services. This role involves developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with grant and regulatory requirements, and reducing agency risk. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with strong project management skills, emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to inspire teams. They must have a deep commitment to the organization's mission, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' operations management experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred). Essential skills include the ability to manage executive staff, strong communication, and a solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics. The COO will also be the central point of accountability for compliance monitoring, audits, and risk mitigation, and must have a thorough understanding of legal, audit, and compliance issues. The role requires a leader who is flexible, adaptable, and a creative problem solver, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and the ability to drive organizational change.
