Line and Prep Cooks

Sea Captain's House Line CookSea Captain's House has been a favorite of the Grand Strand for over 60 years. We are a high-volume, fast-paced, oceanfront restaurant with an award-winning kitchen that is looking for experienced line cooks to join our team! As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, ensuring menu items meet presentation and quality standards, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, monitoring ingredient quality, and managing stock levels efficiently, among other duties.ResponsibilitiesLine cook responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipmentPrepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)Cook food in various utensils or grillersCheck food while cooking to stir or turnEnsure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedKeep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchenEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyCheck quality of ingredientsMonitor stock and stock products when there are shortagesOther duties as assignedQualificationsWhat are we looking for?Prior line cook experienceResponsibility, reliability, and honestyTeamwork and collaborationMust be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisorsAbility to follow all sanitation proceduresAll team members enjoy weekly pay!Qualifying team members may enjoy the following benefits:Medical and dental insuranceSupplemental insurance plans (ex. vision, life, etc…)Paid time off401(k) retirement plan with company matchBereavement leaveJury duty payEmployee assistance programDavid L.
