Salary: $60-80K + Commission

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This role focuses on generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers in the generator and power systems industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of standby, emergency, and industrial generator systems, single and three phase electrical systems along with excellent sales and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, including commercial, industrial, and municipal clients.
• Identify opportunities to sell generator systems, service contracts, parts, and related equipment.
• Conduct on-site visits, assess customer needs, and provide technical solutions and recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure accurate quotations and timely project execution.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close sales effectively.
• Track sales activity, maintain accurate records in CRM, and provide regular reports to management.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote company offerings.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in power systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven outside sales experience, preferably in generator systems, industrial equipment, or related fields.
• Strong technical understanding of generators, transfer switches, UPS systems, and associated equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
• Demonstrate ability to be self-directed and highly motivated.
• Associates degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel frequently and visit customer sites, which may include industrial environments.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally for product demonstrations or materials.

Compensation:

• Base salary plus commission structure.
