Sr Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary Senior Manufacturing Engineer provides manufacturing engineering leadership and mentoring to entry‑level Manufacturing Engineers. The role ensures engineering teams align with the department/company business strategy and represents manufacturing as a leader/team member to support continuous improvement. Responsibilities include using technical expertise to support daily production operations by defining, measuring, analyzing, coordinating, implementing, and following up on projects and activities designed to increase or improve safety, quality, productivity, and capacity. Salary range: $100,000 – $105,000 (final pay determined by experience, education, and performance). Responsibilities Provide manufacturing engineering leadership and mentoring to entry‑level Manufacturing Engineers. Prioritize workload to align with business goals and develop, enhance, and implement systems that increase efficiency and optimize all phases of service or production processes. Develop plant standards, technical instructions, and procedures to ensure all metallurgical activities align with corporate standards and customer requirements. Create systems to identify and measure key performance indicators such as uptime, downtime, scrap, and yield. Evaluate and identify key site capacity constraints, providing timely solutions to resolve them. Use Lean tools to measure, understand, and improve process variability and efficiency. Manage related capital projects while adhering to budget and schedule constraints. Provide ongoing technical support for manufacturing operations in aseptic filling. Analyze daily production and processing problems, and implement shop‑floor continuous improvement projects. Establish engineering tracking tools and enforce their usage through fact‑driven communication among stakeholders (operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, technology center, suppliers). Arrange maintenance and drive technical activities for cGMP‑compliant manufacturing improvement. Work with production personnel to establish or revise work instructions and procedures used in the production environment. Maintain awareness of current pharmaceutical manufacturing needs and standards; communicate possible programs/projects to achieve a state‑of‑the‑art facility. Manage activities of various vendors for projects, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations. Prepare URS, risk assessments, and safety assessments for project support and execution. Prepare specifications for projects, including all dimensions, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical considerations. Work effectively with Operations and Quality to ensure project results comply with site and industry regulations and guidelines.
