By working hand in hand with local experts, employers, and community members, we create pathways to education, employment, and lasting economic mobility.As a team, we are committed to:Empowering one another to do our best work and grow together.Building strong partnerships and serving as a driving force for economic opportunity in Silicon Valley.Modeling teamwork, integrity, and cultural intelligence in everything we do.Acting with mutual respect—for each other, our community, and the environment we share.Job ResponsibilitiesTrainingDirectly responsible for all classroom curriculum, including resume writing, resume submission, and mock interview classes.Participate in the development of new training and programs designed to increase employment opportunities for program participants.Perform job search training, resume and interview preparations with program participantsDirectly responsible for conducting employment readiness 1:1 with each client bi-weekly for those assigned to youCaseload ManagementResponsible for conducting weekly Case Management meetings, coordinating with Case Managers and Peer Mentors to ensure program participants are adequately prepared for job search in a timely manner.May transport program participants to job interviewsReport to the Program Manager all progress and participant or staff related issuesSubmit data and activity reports when neededConnect and GuideDirectly responsible for job placement of all program participants assignedResponsible for job placement of participants and meeting the proposed outcomesEnsure smooth transition for participants in subsidized employment to permanent employmentAdvocate on behalf of program participants with employersClosely monitor all program participants job search activityImplement & guide goals outlined in the Individual Service Plan for each program participantRepresent Goodwill Silicon ValleyRepresent Mission Services and Goodwill in the community through participation in appropriate organizations and networking eventsResponsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally either orally or in writing.QualificationsPreferred Qualifications/ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Business or related field with strong communication skills. Preferably possess vehicle, insurance, CDL and excellent driving record. computer literacy and knowledge of MS office required.Equipment UsedComputer, telephone, copy and FAX machinesAptitudes/skills/temperamentTo possess good oral and written communication skills.General learning ability. There is regular contact with the public, business, and community agencies. The position requires minimal supervision.Emotional EffortModerate: Occasional short deadlines. The work environment is occasionally hectic with occasional high activity, with great emphasis on teamwork.Physical requirementsThe job involves sedentary and light work.
