You will coordinate purchasing and delivery schedules of vendor supplied components with appropriate departments and personnel. You will also source and buy product to fill requirements.What does a Buyer do at RITALKA?Qualify and develop new suppliersManage, maintain, and grow existing supplier base by developing long-term, professional relationships with key vendorsQualify vendor's product offerings to verify exact part numbers, accurate delivery date, and best priceNegotiate and buy parts in a timely and expeditious mannerProduct research as requiredCommunication and problem solvingManage parts orders to meet project / forecast / Theory of Constraint requirements and communicate status to supply chain via established reporting methodsWhat are we looking for in a quality candidate?Accurate and professional verbal and written communicationsKeeps business records, utilizing computers, accurate filing systems, customer and personal serviceProficient use of computers, software, i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Complete vendor score cardsS & OP meetingsFollow company and department standard proceduresEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Purchasing Management or other applicable degree2+ years' experience is desiredOR Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.Many tasks include their own work and /or the review of work of others in the department.
