As a Product Designer at Tessell , you\'ll shape how our products look and feel, making them easy and enjoyable to use. Your role involves designing clear, efficient, and attractive user interfaces that simplify complex tasks related to data and database management. Collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and fellow designers, you\'ll create practical solutions that help users manage databases effortlessly, without sacrificing visual appeal or usability. What will you do as a Product Designer at Tessell? Supportive Independence: Work under senior designers\' mentorship, gradually increasing your independence in tackling and completing design tasks. Problem-Solving: Address user and design problems by applying established design principles, patterns, and frameworks. Collaborative Execution: Work closely with cross-functional teams, helping plan, execute, and communicate design decisions effectively. Quality and Consistency: Contribute actively to maintaining design consistency and high-quality standards within features or projects. What types of challenges will you work on? Designing for Data Complexity: Simplifying complex database interactions and workflows into intuitive user experiences. Scalability & Consistency: Ensuring a unified experience across different database engines and cloud platforms. User-Centered Problem Solving: Understanding and addressing the needs of database administrators, developers, and analysts. Balancing Functionality & Simplicity: Delivering powerful capabilities without overwhelming the user. Cross-Team Collaboration: Working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless design execution. How do we execute great product design at Tessell? User-First Approach – Prioritizing user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. System Thinking – Establishing reusable components and interaction patterns for scalability. Iterative Process – Rapidly prototyping, testing, and refining designs based on user feedback. Collaboration & Transparency – Working closely with cross-functional teams to align on product goals and design execution. Data-Driven Decision Making – Using analytics and user insights to refine and improve the experience. What skills & expertise are we looking for? User-Centered Design – Strong understanding of UX principles, usability heuristics, and human-computer interaction (HCI). UI & Interaction Design – Experience designing intuitive interfaces with a strong focus on layout, typography, and color theory. Prototyping & Wireframing – Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools for creating interactive mockups. User Research & Testing – Ability to conduct user interviews, usability tests, and A/B testing to validate design decisions. Design System Contribution – Experience building or maintaining scalable design systems and reusable components. Your Profile Would Stand Out If You Have: Experience designing for SaaS, enterprise software, or developer tools. A portfolio showcasing complex web application designs and interactive workflows. Knowledge of data visualization, dashboard design, or database management interfaces. Experience working in agile product teams and collaborating closely with engineers. A passion for simplifying complex data and workflows into elegant, user-friendly experiences. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 2+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design. A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design work for digital products.
