Special Service Provider Vacancy High School Counselor - Pikes Peak Early College Special Service Providers are hired on a year only contract - contract renewal for the following year will be done in the spring and continued employment is based on department needs and board of education approval.

Starting Date: July 14, 2026

New Teacher/Licensed Staff Orientation: New teaching/new licensed staff orientation will be held on July 24th & 27th

Experience: District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year relevant experience up to 20 years

Work Schedule: 197 contracted work days

Salary: The minimum starting pay is $67,374/year and the maximum salary is $84,831/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).

Job Description

High School Counselor Qualifications and Expectations:

• MA/MS from accredited college or university
• Valid Colorado Special Services Provider License endorsed in area of assignment: 0-21 School Counselor
• Experience with Concurrent Enrollment Advising
• Experience as 504 Coordinator
• Experience with Social and Emotional Student Support
• Experience as Testing Coordinator
