Title of Position:Assistant Principal - Aaron Mossell Junior High School

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Learning Standards and NY state assessments

• Experience teaching at the secondary levels (preferred)

• Strong understanding of the Science of Reading, literacy instruction, and literacy intervention tools and strategies

• Strong understanding of special education

• Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, classroom and behavior management

• The ability and commitment to use technology as an instructional tool

• Uncompromising commitment to continuous improvement

• Broad experience with a variety of instructional techniques

• Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to develop programs and collaborate with and support other staff

• Loyalty and evidence of being a team player

• Commitment to equity and inclusion of all members of the school community

Salary:step 1 of the assistant principal schedule - $116,788
