Senior Estimator

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a critical role in developing accurate and competitive project estimates for large-scale mechanical construction projects, with a primary focus on plumbing, Sheetmetal, and piping. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented estimating professional with strong mechanical construction expertise, advanced takeoff capabilities, and experience using industry-standard estimating software, particularly On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Trimble platforms. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements. Perform quantity takeoffs for plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems. Develop material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the bidding process. Analyze project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps to ensure accurate pricing. Participate in bid reviews and proposal development. Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases. Support preconstruction efforts and provide value engineering recommendations when appropriate. Required Qualifications 10+ years of estimating experience within the mechanical construction industry. Experience utilizing On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid packages. Strong understanding of labor productivity, material pricing, and construction means and methods. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
