Registered Nurse - ICU Boarders in PACU Unit

Schedule

This position requires three 12-hour shifts per week, specifically from 19:00 to 07:30. The unit operates Monday 7 AM to Saturday 7 PM, with no shifts on Sundays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care to ICU boarders located in the PACU unit, primarily dealing with trauma overflow patients. While previous trauma training is not required, RNs will need to be adaptable as they may float to the Emergency Department for ICU holds or to other ICU/Stepdown units based on overall patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care as directed by licensed physicians.
• Collaborate with patients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to customize patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct nursing support staff to ensure the provision of quality patient care following established standards and policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the clinical specialty preferred.
• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
