Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients, delivering competent and compassionate nursing care.
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene as necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
• Interact with patients and families to communicate the care plan during hospitalization and at discharge.
• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
• Experience working in a pediatric or critical care environment.
