This position supervises and coordinates the maintenance, and repairs activities for our Water, Wastewater and Dryer facilities. The Facilities Supervisor will oversee and participate in the installation and upkeep of HVAC systems, provides guidance and support to staff, and assists senior management with HVAC-related operational needs.Minimum Qualifications:HS diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in building construction or a related fieldFour (4) years of responsible experience in construction or maintenance of buildings or related structuresTwo (2) years of administrative and/or lead supervisory experienceValid Texas driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:Experience with various different platforms of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning system operation and controlExperience with Asset Management SystemsKnowledge of City purchasing rules and regulationsPertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulationsThe Facilities Supervisor job responsibilities include:Supervise staff, ensuring proper training, adherence to policies, a safe work environment, and informed decisions or recommendations on hiring and disciplinary actionsManages and inspects HVAC projects for Plant Operations Division facilities, identifies repair needs and recommends upgradesMonitors contractors for quality and compliance, and verifies contract billing for accuracyIdentifies and schedules routine HVAC maintenance and repairsMonitors assigned budget; and maintains records concerning pertinent building HVAC maintenance informationPerforms other related duties as requiredProvides staff assistance to higher level supervisory or management; prepares reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessaryWorking Conditions and Physical DemandDepending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment.
