Schedule: Flexible weekday hours (you pick your hours between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM) + occasional events

Position Overview
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Custodian who takes pride in maintaining a well-kept environment. This role is essential to the daily operations of the church and directly impacts the experience of our congregation, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Do
Maintain cleanliness across all areas (sanctuary, classrooms, offices, nursery, kitchen, restrooms, and common spaces)
Perform routine cleaning: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing
Conduct regular building checks (locks, lighting, appliances, thermostats, etc.)
Handle minor repairs and report larger maintenance needs
Monitor building and grounds, including debris removal and basic upkeep
Coordinate with and oversee outside contractors when needed
Set up and break down rooms for church events
Maintain inventory and order cleaning supplies
Ensure safety and operational readiness of the facility
Respond to church-related communications within one business day

What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or GED (required)
1–3 years of custodial or maintenance experience (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic math and ability to follow written instructions
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate cleaning equipment
Dependable, trustworthy, and responsive
A positive attitude and respect for the church’s mission and values

Work Environment
