Description: Ratios are 1 to 1. The electronic medical record system is Cerner Surginet. Reports to the Clinical Supervisor, with additional oversight from an OR Director and an OR Manager. OR Techs are available. Weekend requirements are covered by call. Holidays are also covered by call. On-call duty involves 1 - 2 weeknights per week. Weekend call is approximately once a month from the end of shift Friday to 6:30 am Monday. Scrubs are provided by the organization. Telemedicine is available through Philips. Ventilators are available. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts include 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour options. Mid shifts start at 9 am or 10:45 am. Floor-specific orientation consists of one shift with a preceptor. Common diagnoses and types of patients include all types except transplant cases. The surgical specialties include cardiovascular, orthopedic, general, vascular, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma cases. Cancellation policy allows the organization to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is done using the Cerner system. No BSN is required. Trauma level is 2. This position is in an acute care setting.
