Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical unit specialized in infectious disease management. This role requires a focus on high respiratory patient needs, including but not limited to the management of COVID-19 patients, utilizing specialized equipment such as Hiflow, CPAP, BIPAP, and wound vacs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a specialized unit.Utilize advanced technology and equipment to monitor and treat patients.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.Ensure compliance with safety and health procedures, including the ability to convert rooms to negative pressure when necessary.Document patient information accurately in the Epic system.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience; first-timers with required experience are accepted.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Work SettingThis position is in a dedicated COVID-19 unit featuring private rooms equipped with technology, including cameras, baby monitors, dinemaps, and computers. The unit has a capacity of 23 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.ScheduleShift: Night shifts (3x12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15).Every other weekend commitment is required, with 5 to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.No on-call requirements.Floating and Holiday RequirementsMay be required to float within the facility or to other locations as needed.Expected to work major holidays as detailed, depending on assignment period.ComplianceFull compliance with all required documentation and credentials is necessary to start on time.
