Inside Sales Representative

Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 base salary + uncapped commission Our client, a well-established commercial mechanical services company, is seeking a driven Maintenance Sales Representative to develop new business and grow recurring revenue through commercial HVAC maintenance agreements across the DMV market. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and closing new business. While HVAC industry experience is beneficial, it is not required. The company provides comprehensive technical training and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is a proven hunter with a track record of generating opportunities and winning new B2B accounts. Key Responsibilities Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, targeted prospecting, and field-based sales activities. Develop and execute a territory sales strategy across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Build relationships with property managers, facility managers, building engineers, operations leaders, business owners, and executive decision-makers. Conduct site visits and assess commercial HVAC maintenance opportunities. Prepare, present, negotiate, and close customized maintenance agreement proposals. Ensure a seamless transition from the sales process to service delivery by clearly communicating customer expectations and contract scope. Collaborate with Service, Operations, Dispatch, and Project Management teams to support successful customer onboarding. Maintain accurate pipeline, customer, and sales activity records within Salesforce. Consistently achieve or exceed established sales goals. Qualifications Proven success in outside B2B sales, territory development, or new business acquisition. Strong prospecting and business development skills with the ability to build and manage your own pipeline. Excellent presentation, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing abilities. Experience selling to commercial decision-makers across multiple organizational levels. Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a field-based schedule. Strong communication skills and the technical aptitude to learn commercial HVAC systems and maintenance solutions. High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Successful Maintenance Sales Representatives frequently exceed $1 million in annual sales, with several senior team members consistently performing above that level. Commission earnings are uncapped, providing significant long-term income potential. Schedule & Training This is a full-time, field-based role, generally operating Monday through Friday. Success in this position requires regular customer visits, prospect meetings, networking activities, site surveys, and property walkthroughs throughout the DMV region. During the first month, new hires participate in a structured onboarding program that includes ride-alongs, job shadowing, field training, proposal development, and collaboration with Operations and Project Management teams. Monthly team meetings are held in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Why Join?
