Paid News Intern

WROC-TV, Rochesterfirst.com have a part‑time paid internship available for undergraduate students through The New York State Broadcasters Association. The internship offers the opportunity to experience firsthand how a television station operates. Interns will spend time in key departments within the television station, including News Operations, Production/Creative Services, Digital Operations, Technical/Engineering, and other areas. Responsibilities and expectations: Work a specified schedule and professional business attire. Demonstrate professionalism and strive to reach the highest standard of excellence. Possess strong collaborative spirit and understand the vision and creativity necessary to put on a newscast. Apply strong comprehensive writing and communication skills. Qualifications: At least 17 years old. Resident of New York State and/or attending school in New York. Own transportation. Flexibility in hours scheduled. Salary Range: $16.00 hourly.
