Board Certified Behavior AnalystThe primary function of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of individual clients.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Use appropriate assessment instruments and data to develop and implement teaching programs that reflect behavioral outcomes and objectivesMaintain appropriate documentation and prepare and complete reports as requiredProvide staff development, training, and modeling for team members in strategies and methodologies for successful implementation of the treatment planParticipate in Individual Education Program (IEP) team meetingsMaintain Crisis Prevention Intervention certification as a trainerConsult with districts on behavior supports and plansProvide ongoing support for studentsWrite and maintain positive behavior support plansOversee assessments, plan development, and ongoing program data analysis to ensure maximum student progressAttend staff meetings as scheduledDevelop and conduct staff trainingsCollaborate with other BCBAs and the leadership teamRemain current on new research and developments in behavior analysisAccept all other responsibilities as assignedCompetencies:Assess own strengths and weaknessesPrioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; develop realistic action plansRespond promptly to customer needs; meet commitmentsMaintain confidentiality; work with integrity and ethicallySpeak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; demonstrate group presentation skills; participate in meetings; write clearly and informativelyBalance team and individual responsibilities; look for ways to improve and promote qualityBuild commitment and overcome resistance; exhibit confidence in self and othersWork within an approved budgetDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelinesQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
