Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a AZ or compact RN license and prior tele experience preferred.

Details

• Work in the Acute Care Med/Surg unit of a 34-bed hospital department
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients with occasional pediatric cases (not assigned to travelers)
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
• Maintains a 6:1 patient ratio
• Uses Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Utilizes Cerner EHR system
• Works 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Requires occasional weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis
• May float to care for inpatient holds
• On-call only required when down-staffed or placed on call

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Healthcare experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit supporting tele, surgical, and general medical cases
• Scrubs of any color permitted; closed-toed shoes required for clinical staff
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered at the local rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered given sufficient experience
