Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist will support minimally invasive, image-guided procedures by operating various imaging equipment, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting with case circulation in both radiology and operating room settings. The role requires expertise in neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery, along with experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment during interventional radiology procedures.
• Maintain sterility and assist in case circulation in both radiology and OR environments.
• Support diagnostic and interventional procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Angiography
  • Embolization
  • Venous access
  • Venography
  • Myelography
  • Abdominal interventions
  • Paracentesis
  • Thoracentesis
  • Biopsy
  • Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)
  • Dialysis access/fistula work
  • Y90/SIRT procedures

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Valid State Radiography License.
• BLS certification is required.

Unit Description

The Interventional Radiology department features a collaborative environment with a team of nurses, advanced practice providers, attending physicians, residents, and technical assistants. Staff technologists cover a wide range of clinical areas, including interventional radiology, CT-guided procedures, vascular surgery, cardiac hybrid procedures, endovascular neurosurgery, and endoscopic interventions. This dynamic setting provides an opportunity to engage in a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
