Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Dixon is looking for a Machine Operator - 2nd Shift to join its Dixon Boss team in Chestertown on Maryland's eastern shore. A Crimp Sleeve Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery that manufactures Dixon King Crimp Sleeves and Ferrules. This involves ensuring the machine is correctly set up for specific jobs, loading materials, monitoring the process for quality and accuracy, and performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance. The role requires attention to detail to meet specifications and maintain production efficiency. Shift hours 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Learn to set up and operate equipment including but not limited to CNC plasma table, mechanical marking and forming equipment, and welding equipment
• Work safely around equipment and co-workers
• Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

• Understand basic welding principles
• Understand and application of precision measuring tools
• Understand and application of basic hand tools
• Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and factory (job) orders
• Well organized and accountable for own work

• Work with minimal instructions
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds over the course of a shift
