Role Description This on-site Marketing Intern role is based at the corporate office in Madison, AL. The intern will support local marketing initiatives for multiple McDonald’s restaurant locations, including assisting with promotional campaigns, community outreach, and in-store marketing materials. Day-to-day tasks may include gathering and organizing customer and market data, helping maintain social media and digital presence, coordinating with restaurant managers on local events, and tracking the performance of marketing activities. The intern will also assist with administrative support for the marketing team, such as preparing reports, updating calendars, and helping with internal communication related to promotions. This is an internship role designed to provide hands‑on experience in multi-unit restaurant marketing and brand support. Qualifications Strong interest in marketing, communications, or business, preferably supported by current academic enrollment or recent coursework. Ability to conduct basic research, organize information, and prepare clear summaries or reports for internal use. Comfort with social media platforms and digital tools; ability to help create or adapt content for local marketing efforts. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and professionalism in customer-facing and internal materials. Strong organizational and time management abilities, including reliability in meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks. Ability to work on-site in Madison, AL and collaborate with team members and restaurant managers in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools); familiarity with simple design tools is a plus.
