Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. Our collaboration extends across a diverse array of programs and platforms, including major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.POSITION SUMMARY: The Information Security Analyst II at the Marvin Group will be responsible for monitoring and protecting the organization from all vectors of cyber-attacks including and not limited to network, hardware, software, cloud, E-Mail, insider threat and other forms of potential infiltrations and hackers. This position requires the analyst to actively respond to and quell cyberattacks. The ideal Information Security Analyst II has experience in Endpoint Security, Network Security, and experience using industry tools designed to keep an organization safe.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.Monitors systems and networks for security threatsConducts audits and risk assessmentsDevelops and implements security policies and proceduresKeeps users informed by preparing performance reports, communicating system status.Collaborates with IT teams to secure infrastructureRecognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violationsEnsuring that fellow employees are following proper security practices, which may include direct engagement.SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:Basic security certification or cyber security related certification, or equivalent education or work experienceInformation security policiesVulnerability assessments and risk analysisCybersecurity Compliance FrameworksSIEM ToolsCloud SecuritySystem administrationNetwork securityEndpoint securityProblem solvingExercises good judgementSolid understanding of Network protocolsProcess improvementOn-call network troubleshootingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills (especially for non-technical audiences)Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teamsAttention to detail and adaptabilityFlexible Working hoursWORK ENVIRONMENT: Medium-to-large office environment Fast paced office environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Exposed to a combination of normal office type environmentsSALARY RANGE: Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $90,000 to $120,000 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: There are typically no travel requirements for this position (0%)NOTES: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this position's employee(s).
