This is an ideal opportunity for a dependable, mechanically minded professional who takes pride in precise work, enjoys solving hands-on problems, and wants to grow with a stable manufacturing team.Why You'll Want to Join ThermcraftEmployee ownership: Your work contributes directly to the company's shared success.Work you can see: Build complete products and take pride in quality craftsmanship.Team environment: Collaborate with production, quality, supervisors, and engineering.Opportunities to grow: Strengthen your skills in blueprint reading, precision measurement, troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly.What You'll DoRead and follow mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, work orders, and production schedules.Gather, clean, align, position, fit, and securely fasten parts and subassemblies.Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, templates, and related assembly equipment safely and effectively.Inspect parts and finished assemblies using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.Identify defects, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete adjustments, repairs, or rework to meet specifications.Complete production logs, quality checklists, and inventory requisitions accurately.Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety and PPE requirements.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how parts and systems fit together.Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions.Proficiency with common hand and power tools.Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, supervisors, quality, and engineering staff.Preferred: 2–4 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience and experience using calipers or micrometers.Physical RequirementsUse manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to complete detailed assembly work.Stand, bend, reach, and perform hands-on tasks for extended periods.Lift and move materials required for the work safely, with appropriate assistance or equipment when needed.Ideal CandidateWe welcome candidates from a variety of hands-on backgrounds, including construction, carpentry, framing, automotive work, and related mechanical trades.
