DevOps Engineer

Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a DevOps Engineer. Summary: We have partnered with a forward-thinking organization that's building and scaling modern cloud-native platforms. They're seeking a DevOps Engineer to help evolve their infrastructure, improve CI/CD pipelines, and support mission-critical applications in AWS. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys automation, clean infrastructure design, and collaborating across engineering and business teams. Duties:
- Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Enhance and support CI/CD pipelines to improve build, test, and deployment processes
- Partner with Engineering, QA, and Operations to support the full application lifecycle
- Leverage AWS services to support scalable, secure, and reliable systems
- Champion DevOps best practices and help mentor junior team members
- Continuously improve reliability, performance, and time-to-market through automation
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Terraform Cloud, or similar)
- Experience with Docker, Linux, Bash, and configuration languages like YAML
- Familiarity with Python or Node.js
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Serverless frameworks and AWS Lambda
- API Gateway, IAM, CloudFront
- Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical systems
