About The Farm Hurtgen Meadows Farm is located two miles north of Hillsborough, NC. Four of the 14 acres are in vegetables, small fruits and flowers. Sustainable practices are followed. Produce is sold at two weekly farmers’ markets and to local restaurants. Job Description Full-time position, 25-40 hours per week. Position involves a full range of vegetable and flower farm duties including soil preparation, seeding, planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, preparation of produce for market and staffing Saturday morning markets. You will learn and experience the full range of small produce-farm growing and marketing operations. Must exhibit physical stamina and be willing to work in all safe weather conditions. An inquisitive mind and a sense of humor are welcome assets. To start immediately, possible to work into 2027 growing season. Qualifications Farm or related experience required. Expectations include hard work, team and individual participation, and work within farm protocols and standards. Preference for small farm equipment handling. Compensation Competitive and commensurate with experience and contributions to workload and workflow — $17+/hr minimum. 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
