Surgical Technician

Overview Southern KY Oral Surgery is hiring a Surgical Technician to assist the surgeon during consultations and surgeries, provide outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, enhance patient satisfaction, and boost office efficiency. Responsibilities Surgical Support: Assist the doctor during surgeries and consultations, seat patients, take vitals, and maintain competency in anesthesia monitoring. Ensure consent forms and treatment plans are accurately completed. Patient Care: Provide clear and concise pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients; obtain necessary medical clearances and maintain high standards of patient care. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to OSHA and regulatory guidelines, ensure radiation protection for patients, and produce radiographic images with proper exposure techniques and anatomical positioning. Record Keeping: Document and maintain accurate records/charting in compliance with established standards. Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and instruments to be in good working condition for each procedure. Interpersonal Relations: Maintain good rapport with patients, doctors, and team members; address conflicts constructively and participate in resolutions. Confidentiality and Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality of patient, clinic, and hospital information; discuss sensitive information only among appropriate personnel in private settings. Patient Experience: Ensure an excellent patient experience, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the visit. Adaptability: Accept special projects and additional responsibilities as needed in a dynamic work environment. Minimum Qualifications Safety Adherence: Follow strict safety guidelines and procedures according to OSHA and office standards. Policy Adherence: Follow all office policies diligently. Interpersonal Skills: Maintain positive rapport with patients and team members. Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff.
