Working under BCBA supervision, you'll implement individualized behavior strategies, respond calmly to escalated moments, and help create the structure and consistency many of these young people haven't had. Your role matters not just for behavioral progress, but for showing up as a steady, caring adult in a young person's day. What You'll Do Build trusting, consistent relationships with youth in a structured program setting Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support Implement behavior intervention strategies and treatment plans for intensive and complex behaviors Respond safely and appropriately to challenging moments using CPI techniques Support skill development related to communication, behavior regulation, and daily routines Collect accurate behavioral data and session documentation Collaborate with program staff, educators, and clinical supervisors Support youth through transitions, routines, and escalated moments with patience and consistency Maintain professionalism and safety awareness in a secure program environment How Success Is Measured Building genuine trust and rapport with youth, even in high-stress moments Safe, appropriate responses to challenging behavior Accurate data collection and follow-through Strong collaboration with program and clinical teams Openness to feedback and continued skill development Reliability, professionalism, and steady, positive engagement Pay Information Hourly Rate: Starting pay is based on education, experience, and bilingual skills. Additional compensation may be considered for prior ABA experience, RBT certification, or fluency in languages that support the individuals and families we serve. Qualifications & Essential Job Functions Minimum age of 18 High School diploma or GED required Prior ABA experience required Experience working with intensive or high-acuity behaviors required Must be CPI trained or willing to complete CPI training prior to start Must be comfortable responding to physical and verbal aggression as part of routine duties Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including: Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Bending, kneeling, squatting, and transitioning throughout the day Responding appropriately and safely to challenging behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement) Reliable transportation to the assigned site Valid driver's license and dependable attendance Ability to follow behavior plans and program routines with consistency Experience That Transfers Well ABA experience with individuals exhibiting intensive or severe behaviors Youth services, juvenile justice, or corrections experience Behavioral health or crisis intervention work School or classroom support roles with high-need populations Psychology, criminal justice, or human services background Why CAS Is Different Give skilled, experienced BTs a place to do work that truly matters Provide structure and safety without burnout Offer real clinical support and supervision-not just oversight Create clear paths into advanced clinical and educational roles Recognize and reward the consistency, resilience, and impact this work demands Not Ready to Make the Jump - but Know Someone Who Is?
