Maintenance Technician / Custodian
Boston Higashi School is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician / Custodian to help keep our school buildings, equipment, and grounds safe, clean, and operating properly.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a facility, and is comfortable using tools, completing repairs, and responding to a variety of daily maintenance needs. You will join a supportive team and work in a stable, year-round environment where your work directly contributes to the safety and comfort of our students and staff.

Required Qualifications
- General maintenance, custodial, repair, construction, mechanical, or facilities experience preferred
- Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to report to work consistently, on time, and as scheduled
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with staff and students
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Occasionally push or pull up to 150 pounds without assistance
- Bend, stoop, climb, reach, push, and pull
- Use hands, fingers, and full-body movement to complete maintenance tasks
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Safely perform physically active work throughout the shift
