- Set up and operate AMFI's 13' press brake: install tooling, program the CNC controller, and set back gauge positions for each job.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings: bend angles, tolerances, material callouts, and part dimensions.
- Create or modify CNC bend programs; select punches and dies appropriate to material and geometry.
- Perform first-article and in-process dimensional inspections using angle gauges, calipers, and measuring tools.
- Handle and stage sheet and plate material safely; label completed parts with part marks and job numbers.
- Keep the press brake work area clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Report quality issues, material discrepancies, or machine concerns to the Production Manager promptly.
- 2-4 years of press brake operation experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings including bend angles, flat blanks, and material callouts.
- Hands-on experience with CNC press brake setup, tooling selection, and back gauge programming.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools: angle gauges, calipers, tape measures.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of accurate, on-tolerance parts.
- Self-directed and organized - able to manage setups and production runs from a job packet with minimal supervision.
