Mechanical EngineerThe Mechanical Engineer will support the Sheet Finishing Department by providing engineering solutions that enhance plant safety, efficiency, reliability, and production output. This role focuses on mechanical system integration, capital project execution, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The position requires collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to optimize plant performance and implement effective solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesManage capital and sustaining projects from concept to completionDevelop project scope, specifications, safety reviews, and timelinesCoordinate design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project closeoutProvide mechanical engineering support for production and maintenanceOptimize plant infrastructure, equipment, and processesTroubleshoot and improve mechanical systemsCoordinate with external vendors and contractorsOversee design, fabrication, installation, and support servicesLead and support continuous improvement initiativesAnalyze process and equipment data to identify improvement opportunitiesImplement solutions to enhance safety, quality, and efficiencyWork closely with production, maintenance, and technical teamsSupport training, safety, and reliability initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Agricultural EngineeringStrong communication and teamwork skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management toolsAuthorization to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)Must meet ITAR/export control compliance requirementsPreferred Qualifications1–3 years of engineering experience in manufacturingExperience with aluminum rolling mills or similar heavy industryExperience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or utility systemsExperience managing or supporting capital projectsRequired SkillsMechanical systems knowledgeProject management and coordinationProblem-solving and analytical thinkingCommunication and collaboration
