How Youll Contribute A Medical Technologist who excels in this role: Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states. Follow standardized procedures and prepare patient samples for testing. Collect and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities, including blood samples for transfusions. Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively. Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits; report and document findings according to organizational standards. Perform automated testing using computerized instruments and equipment. Conduct quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment and results. Additional requirements include: Bachelor\'s degree in science preferred Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements).
